Adding branding to your account

Support June 07, 2010

The Hosted FTP account administrator can add branding to the account at any time from the Setup > Branding page:

Name - Your account name is displayed to users when you invite them to join your account

Server - Enter the address to use (e.g. ftp.yourdomain.com) when connecting to your FTP site with a FTP client program. You will need to change your DNS settings to include a CNAME record pointing ftp.yourdomain.com to ftp.hostedftp.com

Web - Enter the address to use (e.g. yourdomain) when connecting to your FTP site with a web browser. Users can now login at http://yourdomain.hostedftp.com. Links sent inside email notifications will also use your branded web address.

Url - The website specified here is displayed in a new browser when users click your logo

Colors - Colors are entered as 6 character hexadecimal color codes. Click here for help choosing the right color code.

Header color is displayed at the top of each page.  Background color is displayed as the background for the login page, mail items, and your plugin webpage. Links color is used as the font color for all links displayed over the background color.

Popup - Enter the pixel width and height for the popup window that displays mail items.

Logo - The logo image is displayed at the top left of the screen when you're logged in to your site, plus on your branded login page, mail items, and plugin webpage. Your logo is displayed over the customized background color. Please note that images are not automatically scaled.

Favicon - The favicon (short for favorites icon) is also known as a web site icon, shortcut icon, or bookmark icon. This is a small file, commonly 16 x 16 pixels, associated with a particular web site. Many browsers display the favicon in their address bar and next to page names in a list of bookmarks.

Signature - The account signature is included below your users' signatures in all email notifications.
